Accounts Payable Assistant - ERP/AAT/Agresso

This leading telecommunications company has a current vacancy for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the AP Team on a contract basis.

The main focus of the role is to assist in the management if the cash and payment functions of the business through day to day processing of accounts payable transactions in an efficient manner. You will be supporting the development of the AP function as they adapt their processes to a new finance system.

Main responsibilities will include supporting the AP Manager and working in conjunction with the Procurement team, making sure that P2P processes are correctly adopted, providing adequate support in training and query handling. You will also support the implementation of the new finance system: Agresso.

You will be responsible for ensuring that supplier statements are received and reconciled in a timely manner and will develop strong relationships with suppliers and make sure they are paid within the agreed terms. You will also support the AP Manager to prepare the weekly BACS payment run.

Essential Skills:

- Experience supporting and assisting systems implementation
- Experience of working in an AP function in a fast paced environment within a telecommunications or blue chip IT company
- End to end AP process
- Ability to prioritise work
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- AAT qualified
- Agresso or other finance systems.
