Accounts Clerk

ACCOUNTS CLERK - TEMPORARY 2 MONTH CONTRACT - ASAP START

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experience accounts Clerk to join a well known construction and engineering company at our offices in Reading. The ideal candidate will have experience of purchase ledger, invoice and query processing.

The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to, the duties described below:

- Matching invoices to materials and/or plant GRNS to allow payment.
- Investigating, managing and resolving invoice queries in a timely manner by liaising with internal and external 'customers'.
- Statement reconciliations where required.
- Regularly updating reports of outstanding invoices and the queries relating to them.
- Filing and maintaining records.
- Month end accruals as appropriate.
- Collation of timesheets and expenses and follow up on any outstanding.
- Ad hoc duties as and when required.

In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will be an organised, problem solving, people orientated person who is able to effectively process invoices in accordance with procedures and keep outstanding aged invoices to a minimum. A proactive person is required for this role. Oracle experience is desirable but not essential and basic Excel skills are required.
