Accounts Assistant 6 month term contract.

Our Client is an asset management house who are growing fast and need someone with the skills below to join them on a term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Maintenance of the purchase ledgers to include reviewing supplier invoices received, arranging appropriate approval, posting to the accounting system and making payment by BACS, cheque or wire.
Sales ledger invoice processing to include input of commingled fund and separate account fee invoices.
Nominal ledger input of all non-sales and non-purchase ledger revenue and expense items eg staff cash expenses, interest, bank charges etc.
Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
Monthly analysis and review of Trade Debtors and Trade Creditors control accounts.
Review of corporate credit card statements, ensuring appropriate supporting evidence is supplied.
Review of custody and fund administration invoices for completeness and accuracy prior to authorisation by the Head of Portfolio/Fund Administration.
Preparation of separate account management fee invoices including obtaining approval and sending to clients.
Liaising with separate account clients to ensure timely payment of management fee invoices.
Liaising with Operations and Client Services to ensure complete, accurate and timely accounting and payment of management fee rebates for commingled fund investors.
Monthly preparation and posting to the accounting system of management fee accruals.
Annual preparation of management fees budget.
Preparation of management information related to revenue to include geographic analysis, actual -v- budget comparison and analysis of variances due to over/under accruals in prior periods.
Other duties include analysis of expenses such as that required for PSA and tax returns and provision of trade statistics for the ONS. The Finance Assistant may also be required to assist the Finance Manager with tasks and any other related duties as they arise.
Candidate Requirements
Accounting experience in the fund management industry
Basic/intermediate level Microsoft Office Excel and Word
Accountancy training equivalent to part qualified accountant
Pegasus/Opera experience useful but not essential
Organised and logical approach to work
Attention to accuracy and detail
