ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - ACCOUNTS - BACS - PAYMENTS

Accounts Assistant required to work for a global provider of financial and accounts software. As an accounts assistant you will provide assistance to the merchant accountant in performing bank Reconciliation for merchants.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Bank account reconciliation (weekly) BACS File analysis
- Break down summary to detail level and analyse debit and credit transactions
- Charge back database entry - Enter Charge backs to database so Risk team can start working on them
- Failed Direct Debit and supplementary lists - Reversing BACS files credits and marking them as uncollected, as the instruction came back as failed.
- Negative credit charge and collection - Analysing debit report from TS3 (emailed) and matching it to amount being collected.
- Reserve account Reconciliation Running reports in TS3 and GAA - Run daily reports to be used in work activities/reconciliation.
- Charge backs tracking/management - Checking status of charge backs in database and highlighting oversights if necessary
- Support Care Team - Assist Care team with Merchant fund queries, settlements and charges.
- Support Ops Team - Assist Ops team with verification of duplicated transactions or other exceptional incidents
- Support Risk Team - Assist Risk team with all queries on charge backs, exceptions, etc.
- BACS reports - Track failed Direct Debits, Direct Debit Indemnity Claims, BACS rejects etc, and liaise with Care Team Refunds

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Settlement bank account reconciliation experience.
- Experience with direct debit and BACS procedures
- Test account bank Reconciliation
