Accounting Manager, Energy Sector, (4 month Contract) Zurich, Switzerland. For our client, a global leader in energy solutions, Swisslinx is now seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in an IFRS/US Gaap environment.
ACCOUNTING MANAGER, ENERGY SECTOR, (4 MONTH CONTRACT) ZURICH, SWITZERLAND
Primarily the role offers you the opportunity to take on partial responsibility for the Swiss entity finance function, including accounting for the head office and offering assistance in consolidation of the European entities.
More specifically, your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Perform some and ensure the reliability of the book keeping and reconciliation of accounts (Sox environment)
- Ensure completeness and timeliness (2.5 day close) of monthly reporting Manage and liaise with external and internal auditors and assist in audit
- Ensure local entities respect local regulations
- Ensure completeness and timeliness of local statutory reports (VAT)
- Manage relationship with banks for transaction follow up The IT systems in place are Hyperion (HFM), Office Suite and SAP. In order to be considered as a potential candidate, you will hold a degree in Business Administration and have at least 3 years experience working in a finance/accounting position within an environment with IFRS/US GAAP requirements and consolidation work.
Furthermore you have the following skills and attributes:
- Good analytical skills
- Self-motivating
- Self-disciplined
- Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal), German is considered an advantage
