Description:
Candidate will cover for a manager on leave.

CANDIDATE WILL BE MANAGING MONTH END CLOSING FOR THE DEPARTMENT.

CANDIDATE WILL MANAGE A DEPARTMENT OF 5 INVOLVED IN THE ACCOUNTING OF CAPITAL ASSETS.

MANAGER PERFORMANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF SUPERVISOR AND LEADS

Department will also be going through an implementation of a new sub ledger during this time and the candidate will be involved in this process.
Handling day to day tactical and strategical functions of accountants
Manage preparation and posting of journal entries
Manage account reconciliations
Manage Mainframe data entry
Manage account analysis for month-end close reports
Manage preparation of quarter and year end reports
Manage preparation of audit schedules
Manage performance and development of supervisor and leads.
Some cross-functions with the Medical Center Unit.

Requirements:

BACHELORS DEGREE REQUIRED

Candidate must have a CPA
Candidate should also have advanced level Excel with experience in Pivot Tables, V Look ups, and knowledge of Access system.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED IN FIXED ASSETS AND CONSTRUCTION FOR LARGE COMPANY

PROPERTY ACCOUNTING BACKGROUND

SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE

Previous experience accounting for capital assets in a large organization
Strong analytical skills
