Accounting Department Internship - St Mary's, PA

NORMAL JOB DUTIES: Assist with preparation of monthly standard costs and analyze absorption rates. Determine and analyze monthly standard costs by preparing SAP and Microsoft EXCEL reports in total, by production family, by shipment location, and by strategic business unit. Develop and report standard cost allowables for forecasting measures: Coordinate and conduct review of forecasted demand with Planning Department. Prepare upload of forecasted production. Determine standard allowable for forecast periods by generating SAP reports from forecasted production. Assist in generation of actual forecasts and account detail analyses. Support the Purchasing and Payable organizations: Provide invoice payment support Increased requirements for Purchasing organization Support Planning and Facilities: Prepare natural gas usage report and calculate daily and cumulative banked gas for Facilities. Modify shop orders per Planning requirements and updates. Occurs daily for natural gas updates and weekly for shop order maintenance. Assist with development and loading of budget standards and actuals. Assist with generation of repack projects / proposals: Prepare repack proposals with various scenarios for evaluation. Determine standard allowable change, labor repack costs, packaging requirements and freight and shrinkage allowances for proposed quantities. MISCELLANEOUS: Provide support for the management of inventory due to lamp legislation. Assist with presentation material development for plant and strategic business unit management. Update reports, charts and graphs used for plant measurement / management. Assist in preparing documents required for both internal and external audits. Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS: Candidate should possess strong command of Excel and be familiar with Word and Powerpoint.
Candidate must be able to communicate and interact well with others.
Bachelor's degree in Business or other related field preferred or be at a junior/senior level in college. Joining our team will provide you with invaluable corporate experience at an international company.
