ACCOUNTING CLERK

6 PLUS MONTH CONTRACT

PERFORMS ROUTINE ACCOUNTING ACTIVITIES SUCH AS MAINTENANCE OF THE GENERAL LEDGER, PREPARATION OF VARIOUS ACCOUNTING STATEMENTS AND FINANCIAL REPORTS AND ACCOUNTS PAYABLE OR RECEIVABLE FUNCTIONS. REQUIRES A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR ITS EQUIVALENT WITH 0-2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD OR IN A RELATED AREA.

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Contractor coordinator serves as the contact point between vendor contractors and the AP team for the processing of the contractor invoices.

POSITION MUST:

(1) set up new contractors in the TR GRANT system;
(2) match time charged on vendor invoices to the time loaded into Elite's time recording system;
(3) after time as been verified communicate same with appropriate project managers and get their approval of invoices;
(4) submit invoices into 170 MARKVIEW system; and
(5) terminate contractors from the GRANT system when engagements have been completed. Individual will also assist Accounting team with certain month-end closing procedures.

THIS PERSON NEEDS TO HAVE.

1) Organizational and time management skills.
2) Accounts Payable Experience.
3) High level Excel skills.

NICE TO HAVE.

1) Excellent Communication skills - this person will have to interact with multiple project managers
2) A good understanding of SAP.
3) Comprehension of contracts administration.

This person will need to be able to understand urgency, as well as the big picture!

They will need to be able to work independently as well as on a team.
