Accounting Associate needed in Hopkins - Immediate need

Duration: Maternity leave coverage: Start ASAP-mid January

Supports Business Unit and Minneapolis general accounting, month end closing, budget and management reporting. Prepares BU Scalp P&L's. Assists on BU initiatives and ad hoc projects. Assists Regions (field locations) with general accounting questions.

40% Supports general accounting and reporting activities for the BU including month end close & reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, tax and government reporting

20% Responsible for Transportation P&L, Grain IT invoicing, JV's reporting, unclaimed wires.

20% Assists in ad hoc BU projects and initiatives.

10% Assists in annual BU budget process

10% Cross training and backing up team members

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
1+ years Accounting experience
Demonstrated principled leadership and sound business ethics
Demonstrated high levels of written and verbal communication and documentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize work flow and complete tasks with a high level of organization, responsibility, and efficiency
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels of the organization
Proven commitment to internal controls
Demonstrated strong organizational and prioritization skills
Proven ability to deal effectively with change
Proven strong decision making, problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

Experience with corporate and management reporting, budgeting and cost management
