Capita's key utility client is currently recruiting for an Accounting Assistant. This role will be based in Bexleyheath for aninitial 3-6 month contract, with the possibility for a permanent position after the initial period has been completed.

Working with a team of 3, you will be required to work closely together. It will be a role of checking bank statements and cheques and putting them into a SAP system. Working knowledge of SAP will be required. You will have worked with Excel also.

This role will also involve working on Account Payable/Receivable and speaking with 3rd parties on a daily basis with regards to outstanding monies. You have an outstanding telephone manner and be able to speak clearly and concisely with customers.

You will have to assist the Accounting Services Manager in the following:

- Allocation into SAP of cheque, BACS and Credit/Debit card payments to EFS.
- Reconciliation of above payments to the bank account.
- Input of orders and receipts into SAP.
- Reconciliation of payments made to out of area suppliers.
- Liaise and work pro-actively with both internal and external parties.
- Answer both email and telephone queries.
- Work either alone or as part of a small team.
