ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE GRADUATE : GAS & POWER SETTLEMENTS : ENERGY TRADING

World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has an exciting opportunity for a high calibre and dynamic Accounting and Finance Graduate to gain exposure within a fast-paced global environment.

The role is contract however this is an excellent opportunity for a foot in the door' in a global Oil and Gas Company and further opportunities may arise once working within the company.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

- Ensure energy payments and invoices are processed accurately
- Ensure that period end processes are carried out accurately and completed within deadlines
- Coordinate payment proposal activities, ensuring that payments are processed on a daily basis in accordance with settlement processing rules and procedures
- Ensure daily tasks are performed in line with service standards and KPI's
- Maintain effective and appropriate systems and procedures, identifying opportunities for enhancements and ensuring ongoing SOX compliance
- Strictly adhere to all relevant controls within the team
- Contribute to process understanding and change pushing the team to look for improvement opportunities, whilst ensuring robust controls
- Provide assistance to the Trade Accountant role

ABOUT YOU:

- High calibre graduate (2:1 or above)
- Ideally a Finance degree but will consider other similar degrees
-Get up and go' attitude

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
