Accounting Analyst Job

ACCOUNTING ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity for Yoh's client in Walnut Creek, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provides direction, support and planning in the daily operations of a business unit responsible for the processing of accounting/billing services.
- Responsible for a variety of tasks such as verifying, billing, account reconciliation, posting, computing and summarizing accounting and billing ensuring compliance with company and correcting questionable entries.
- Analyst II uses professional concepts to complete work and resolve problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Monitors, controls, reconciles and maintains financial activity and balances of accounts. Ensures transactions are posted to proper accounts.
- Identifies, researches and corrects questionable transactions.
- Ensures sub-systems transactions are recorded correctly and transmitted to the GL correctly. May provide complex reconciliations and analyses in preparation of information to support both external and internal audit review and prepares recommendations for changes as needed.
- Provides, acquires and exchanges reconciliation information with business partners..
- Resolves escalated and/or complicated customer inquiries and concerns. Brings unresolved issues to management with recommendation on how to proceed.
- Prepares a variety of management reports and analyses to include summaries of financial transactions, new services or procedures/policies.
- May participate in Accounting Services projects to include the development of new

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on Business Administration, Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience with at least one year of supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of insurance/travel/members business practices and procedures as related to financial accounting and/or statutory requirements
- Supervisory skills, ability to clearly communicate information and support staff in increasing levels of performance
- Strong customer service orientation, ensures standards are consistently met
