Accounting Analyst

SUMMARY:

- The temporary position would work closely with the Lease Review Team responsible for the review of our lease sites and the Lease Team responsible for payment (rent and CAM management) of all leased restaurant sites.
- The U.S. is divided into three divisions and 22 regions and the primary customers within those regions include the accounting, construction, and asset management teams, as well as our franchisees, tenants, and other third parties.
- The team works closely with the internal Home Office Departments including the U.S. Controller Group, Franchising, and the Corporate Legal Departments, and Landlords.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Print lease documents used for lease reviews.
- Run payment history to ensure all checks have cleared.
- Generate and analyze invoices used for oil site lease reviews.
- Review lease sites by comparing lease terms to lease system for accuracy.
- Compare landlord CAM and Real estate tax reconciliations against the terms of the lease to ensure billing accuracy.

SKILLS:

EXPERIENCE - EXTERNAL:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 1-2 years of qualifying accounting work experience (lease accounting preferred)
- Preferred CAM audit experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Self starter, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service focus.
- Computer proficiency in excel and word
- Must have Lease Administration/Real Estate and Accounting Experience
- Paralegal experience is a plus (understanding of lease contracts)
- Ability to research and work independently
- Experience with CAM Audit
