ACCOUNTANT- OVERHEADS

This role offers a great opportunity to gain an unrivalled insight into the organisation structure and cost base of the Business, Digital and Marketing Directorates of Client UK. The main remit of the role will be to support the Business, Digital and Marketing finance decision support teams by preparing the monthly overheads reporting and comparing this to budgets/forecasts. This will involve reviewing and consolidating existing activity and to look for rationalisation and efficiencies on an on-going basis. With real responsibility for the integrity of our accounts as well as associated process and controls, this role offers a fantastic chance to have a real impact on the Client UK business.

To own the delivery of the monthly and quarterly actuals, providing insightful variance commentary to budget/forecast and explaining month end reporting to senior stakeholders within Finance and beyond. In this role, where necessary to assist in compiling the budgets and reforecasts of overheads and related costs.

Prepare and post the journals relating to overhead costs every month end into the Oracle Financials and prepare and develop a thorough understanding of balance sheet reconciliations. In this role to review and challenge the data and reporting to ensure the integrity of our accounts.

Prepare the monthly payroll report for use by the Overheads accounting team and prepare average salary analysis as required for use in the budget and forecast process for the whole Client UK business.

Be responsible for maintaining compliance to required Sarbanes-Oxley processes and controls.

Monitor, review and approve PO's as required and ensure compliance with the procurement process for spend. Furthermore, to track and understand discretionary spend that falls outside overheads by interacting with the wider finance community.

DEMONSTRABLE EXPERIENCE

- Financial Accounting Rigour; good understanding of double entry, journals and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical review skills and inquisitiveness nature.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet challenging deadlines- a "can do" attitude
- Problem solving skills.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of management

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Qualified accountant
- Knowledge of Oracle & SAP BPC
- Knowledge of MS Applications including Excel & PowerPoint with working experience.
