ACCOUNTANT (Newly Qualified) ACA - ACCA - CIMA - BANK OF AMERICA MERRILL LYNCH

A Newly Qualified Accountant is required by Bank of America Merrill Lynch in St Pauls, London. Successful candidate will have recently qualified for ACA, ACCA or CIMA and will assist in calculations for regulatory requirements (MLI) and assist in preparation of quarter end COREP returns.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for calculation of regulatory capital requirement for MLI (main broker dealer in the EMEA region)
* The role gives an in-depth level of exposure to all products traded by MLI, making it very attractive for anyone looking to gain experience across the businesses
* Calculations are performed on a daily and month end basis
* Assist in preparation of quarter end COREP returns for MLI and consolidated returns for MLUKH
* The role is heavily analytical and covers a wide range of asset classes and derivative types, including analysis of potential capital impact on new products/trades
* Develop and maintain working relationships with key personnel in Finance, Risk, Front Office and Technology to facilitate understanding of trade bookings and systems infrastructure
* Identify and implement improvements/efficiencies to the existing reporting process.

Skills and Experience
* A proactive, enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal and analytical skills
* The successful candidate will show ability to understand regulatory rules quickly and communicate them to others clearly
* A self starter and someone who can work independently with minimal supervision
* Can work under tight deadlines or demanding time pressure
* Candidate should have an interest in financial products and some experience or knowledge of them
* Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
* Experience in risk management or regulatory reporting an advantage.
