Accountant Job

ACCOUNTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in SILVER SPRING, MD.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced Excel skills along with SAP experience..
- Previous experience in the cable or media industry.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Process Electronic Bank Statements (EBS) in SAP on a daily basis. Research any unprocessed items and ensure all offsetting entries are posted in a timely fashion by all business partners. As part of this process, establish and maintain business relationships with internal customers.
- Facilitate Intercompany Billing process as part of month end close. Ensure all journal entries are posted prior to processing intercompany invoices. Manage the IDOC processing for global trading partners.
- Month end bank reconciliation for 20+ bank accounts. Research and explain all variances between the general ledger cash accounts and bank statements.
- Maintain treasury relationship and act as a liaison between accounts payable to request MT103 and proof of payment for international electronic payments. Also work closely with payroll to manage the Positive Pay process. As requested, match checks that are issued to those presented for encashment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills are key to being successful in this position. Ability to proactively identify, prioritize and manage important issues with exceptional attention to detail.
- Customer service and team player attitude. Ability to multi-task, work smart, and continually increase efficiency.
- Excellent proactive written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and resourceful. Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, vlookup, Embedded formulas, etc.). SAP experience preferred.
- BA/BS in accounting or finance required. 2+ years prior professional accounting work experience, especially in cable and/or the media industry, required.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in the diagnostics area is preferred.
