Accountant Job

ACCOUNTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA.

- Basic Accounting Practices
- Account Analysis and Reconciliation
- General Ledger or Accounting Software

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Uses accounting concepts to identify issues and escalates to appropriate priority and level.
- Evaluates and assists in UAT testing
- Provides accounting support for the monthly close, including account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and analysis.
- Under general supervision, provides analytic support for accounting projects at all levels of complexity.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree with emphasis on Business Administration, Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Two to four (2-4) years previous relevant work experience.
- Experience with general ledger system or accounting software
- Proficient understanding of basic accounting practices and procedures (GAAP, SSAP) in a controls based environment.
- Account analysis and reconciliation skills to handle work on moderate complexity.
- Skills to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
- Knowledge of financial transactions and financial systems, as well as related policy, accounting requirements.
- Strong analytical skills needed to structure and conduct analysis and to evaluate and develop logical solutions to accounting issues.
