Accountant Job

ACCOUNTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Invoicing and billing
- General ledger
- AP/AR.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for invoicing functions including invoice generation, validation, and revenue recognition.
- Responsible for processing AR/AP refunds and small balance write offs
- Responsible for reviewing and resolving any inconsistent or incorrect data contained in the billing system.
- Prepares job submissions to run billing trials and actual invoices
- Updates and maintains productivity measures and assists in the analysis of data to identify processes which need improving
- Tracks and reports billing statistics and prepares analysis of data as needed
- Prepares and/or supervises the preparation of General Ledger journal entries and reconciliation of deferred and unbilled receivable accounts to the General Ledger
- Assist with research and resolution of small balance debit items as well as credits on the Accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Prepare documentation and input information required to process write off requests and referrals to outside collection agency
- Process customer refunds pertaining to the accounts receivable sub-ledger

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is required.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years related work experience and demonstrated analytical work with attention to accuracy and detail, and experience with on-line automated systems.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong managerial and organizational skills.
- Exceptional verbal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software and word processing software
