Accountant Job

ACCOUNTANT needed for a CONTRACT HIRE opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Mateo, CA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Good understanding of US GAAP

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Prepare, analyze, and maintain royalty/licensing system for package and digital products including month end accruals, quarterly statement preparation and payment requests.
- Review and interpret contracts/agreements to correctly execute royalty obligations
- Communicate with internal/external groups for sales or royalty related issues
- Comfortable with managing large volume of licensing contracts and product titles
- Track and analyze royalty advances and development costs for internally developed titles
- Track and monitor royalty related external licenses - peripherals, merchandise, books, etc.
- Month end close responsibilities encompassing journal entries, revenue reconciliation, etc.
- Good understanding of US GAAP
- Prepare federal, state and local reports for tax returns.
- Assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy.
- Interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
- Ad hoc projects and other miscellaneous accounting functions
- Oracle R12 and Alliant royalty system is a plus.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
- Requires three to five (3-5) years of related experience.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Oracle R12 and Alliant royalty system is a plus.
