Accountant II

We have an exciting opening for a Accountant II position with our progressive client in the Columbia, SC area. This is a long-term contract opportunity. Excellent communication skills required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

--- Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts of routine to moderate complexity. Initiates and/or processes journal entries into various accounts. Performs reviews of various systems activities for Financial and/or/or Operational reporting, which may include upper level review of co-workers or next level review.
---Prepares financial reports for financial analysis, forecasting, trending, budgeting, and/or results analysis to ensure transactions in the ledger tie to statistical files and/or various financial reports. Performs analyses of financial data to identify problem areas and/or report to management. Prepares supporting reports and/or spreadsheets required to prepare financial reports.

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree - REQUIRED

24 semester hours in Accounting - REQUIRED

Advanced Accounting experience - REQUIRED -2 Years

DB2 AND/OR Access experience - REQUIRED -2 -Years

Advanced Excel experience (SUMIF, SUMCOUNT, VLOOKUP, etc.) - REQUIRED -2 Years

Cost Accounting experience- REQUIRED -2 Years

IT Accounting - NICE TO HAVE

SQL and/or Querying (writings queries, etc.) experience - REQUIRED
