Accountant - French Speaking - IFRS, GAAP

ACCOUNTANT - FRENCH SPEAKING - IFRS, GAAP

French speaking accountant required on a contract basis by leading global organisation based in central London. Come join us as an Accountant reporting to the UK Accounting Manager based in our London offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Management of General Accounting for France including complex financial models and analysis
- Direct contact for internal customers with respect to accounting inquiries/requests
- Prepare journal entries to ensure transactions are recognized according to US GAAP and accumulate proper evidence to support journals & balance sheet reconciliations
- Statutory accounts and corporate tax activities for France office
- Accounting for Payroll and associated accruals
- Knowledge of International Transfer Pricing methodologies are desirable
- Participate in the compilation of policies, procedures and guidelines over areas of responsibility, looking to improve processes and internal controls
- Participate in cross training and coverage of other areas of responsibility
- Various projects and adhoc analysis to support business decisions

QUALIFICIATIONS:

- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience and a Professional Accounting designation is required
- Fluent in French
- Experience of working in France preferable
- Advanced Excel skills required, experience of large accounting software package expertise (Oracle Financials, etc.)
- Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP is preferred
- Strong personal accountability, initiative and integrity.
- Proactive with effective time-management skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Must be capable of working independently while communicating with supervisor on progress.
- Strong communication skills are a must (written, oral, and presentation).
