Accountant/Finance Analyst

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant/Finance Analyst with to join a market leading Utilities organisation based in the Coventry Location.

Title: Accountant/Finance Analyst (Modelling Analyst Attributes)
This role will involve travel between other Uk Sites to Vendors offices.

Role Purpose: Looking for Accountant to help with the client's Sale Bid. Ideally 60% commercial and 40% finance experience.

Desirable experience:
Qualified accountant with commercial experience. PFI experience required is highly desirable.

Accountabilities and attributes:
* Demonstrable expertise of PFI business financial modelling and particularly the sale of PFI businesses
* Highly experienced at developing, updating and running large Excel based financial models
* Thorough understanding of how to value a business for sale for both internal and external stakeholders. This would include knowledge of sale related calculations so that the net benefit of the sale is fully inclusive including TUPE costs, pension transfer related costs, direct & indirect tax, lease dilapidations, stock & WIP calculations.
* Knowledge of PFI/project finance capital structures
* Knowledge of sale agreements advantageous to ensure any concessions (if any) provided to the purchaser are reflected in the client's valuation.
* Ability to work closely with and engage operational colleagues so modelling properly reflects the operational running of the business. In particular, previous experience of PFI/contracting payment mechanisms advantageous
* Ability to confidently deal with questions and modelling runs from purchaser & bank technical advisors (TAs).
* Ability to prepare quickly and present concisely financial analysis to support the sale
* Ability to challenge providers of information and assumptions to ensure accuracy
* Ability to identify value enhancing opportunities
* Ability to assess the sensitivity and implications of providing internal data to external parties
