Harvey Nash has an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong local and US GAAP experience.

You will be joining one of our top clients for the duration of 11 months. The company is a leading global provider of advertising platforms online with additional portfolio of online services and products such as search. State of the art facilities and awesome culture (far from general corporate office environment).

Responsibilities:
This role will involve the preparation, calculation and input of statutory period 13 adjustments for 2012 accounts, audit support for multiple entities, Statutory financial statements (SFS) information support for outsourced SFS and tax calculation service provider & review of statutory extended trial balance.
"Perform reconciliations from US GAAP to local GAAP. Prepare adjustments to convert US GAAP balances to local GAAP and adjust to local materiality levels.
"Perform daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions related to Local and US GAAP rules such as: BS and P&L accounting and flux analysis, month end close process and reporting, general accounting and tax fillings and all related statutory obligation.
"Manage relationships with third-party entities such as banks, accounting firms and third party suppliers in matters related to the Accounting, Treasury and AP activities and help to execute projects to localize financial systems.

Preferred qualifications:
"BA/BSc degree with min 2.1
"ACCA/ACA or equivalents
"Few years of experience in Big 4 (highly preferable) or local subsidiary of US multinational
"Solid understanding of local and US GAAP
"Oracle 11i experience a plus
"Capacity for critical thinking and analysis
"Strong attention to detail
"Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
"Strong work ethic - team player
