Accountant - 7 Month Contract

Accountant

Description:
-Prefer candidate who has point of sale cash handling/bank reconciliation experience.
-Reviews general ledger accounts and prepares and adjusts journal entries.
-Performs account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts.
-Maintains the general ledger chart of accounts.
-Assists with initial internal control evaluations.
-Posts monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals.

Requirements:

Prefer candidate who has point of sale cash handling/bank reconciliation experience
-Candidates should have min. 3 years but less than 10 years of Accounting experience.
-Candidates should not be job hoppers who have moved from job to job.
-Should show upward mobility within an organization and/or an upward progression in work history.
-Communication skills are very important.
-True analytical skills are required.
-Individuals should possess financial reporting in addition to AP or AR experience.
-Healthcare experience is a plus, not required.
-Really looking for financial analysis and reporting skills. Ability to comprehend data and tell the story . Strong MS Excel skills.
-BA in Accounting or Finance required
-CPA or Master's degree preferred.
