CLIENT: One of the country's largest health care and health plan providers
DEPARTMENT: Patient Accounting
STANDARD WORK HOURS: M-F 8am-5pm
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reviews general ledger accounts and prepares and adjusts journal entries. Performs account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts. Maintains the general ledger chart of accounts. Assists with initial internal control evaluations. Posts monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals.
TOP DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing journals
- Preparing reconciliations
- Variance reporting
- Working on team based projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong accounting base (minimum 2 years' accounting experience)
- Strong software skills (Excel/Access/SQL)
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
- Ambitious/positive attitude
- Preference for CPA and/or Master's/MBA
