5-MONTH CONTRACT POSITION

JOB TITLE:  Accountant

LOCATION:  Pasadena, CA  91188

JOB NUMBER:  46521

CLIENT:  One of the country's largest health care and health plan providers

PAY RATE:  $24/hr W2

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Reviews general ledger accounts and prepares and adjusts journal entries
- Performs account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
- Maintains the general ledger chart of accounts
- Assists with initial internal control evaluations
- Posts monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals

TOP DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation
- Perform variance analysis
- Prepare financial reports and perform variance analysis
- Prepare physical inventory reconciliation and perform research with variance

REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience in closing the books for month-end and have performed balance sheet reconciliations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of GAAP and inventory accounting

PREFERENCES (NICE TO HAVE):

- CPA

DRIVING TO OTHER FACILITIES IN DOWNEY AND PASADENA WILL BE REQUIRED
