Accountant

Hays Senior Finance are recruiting for an experienced Accountant to work for a high-profile NHS Organisation in Gloucestershire. This role presents an opportunity to work closely with Management Accountants and Budget Managers to provide a comprehensive, timely and efficient service on an interim basis for 6 months.Day to day responsibilities include:- Preparation of complex monthly income and expenditure statements, including exception and regular management reports- Reporting on key staffing information including bank, agency and overtime usage costs- Assisting budget managers in ongoing service delivery reviews to ensure all patient activity is resourced from recurrent income sources- Preparation of complex option appraisals and financial elements of strategic and business plans- Holding monthly budget meetings with managers to review their budgetary performance- Liaising with managers to formulate and set robust budgets for the forthcoming year and, by monthly monitoring provide an accurate and comprehensive forecast for each cost centre- Ensuring all services to third parties are costed correctly, to include the agreed level of overhead recovery and surplus, and are formalised in a written contract- Ensuring all contracts within service area are regularly monitored in terms of resource usage and the correct levels of income are invoiced and collectedThis role will suit if you are either a part or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant and previous NHS experience is highly preferable.
