Accountant

Urgent vacancy on a temporary assignment for AstraZeneca within their Group Finance function.

Requirement is for a qualified Accountant (ACA/or equivalent) to assist, on a temporary basis, in a major transformation project concerning worldwide statutory financial statements.

The applicant must have a good grasp of basis accounting and trail balance preparation, good working experience of IFRS and an understanding of potential areas of differences between IFRS and other GAAP that may be adopted in local markets.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills along with the ability to work with, and challenge, senior worldwide finance personnel. Good project management and co-ordination skills will also be required. The assignment will involve working closely with project personnel. The role is likely to suit a person with an audit background, who has possible recently qualified in practice and is looking to enhance their experience of working in industry. The initial term will be for 2 months, with potential for the contract to be extended.
