Account Engineer

The primary responsibility is collaborating with customer engineers to ensure best cost designs are achieved as early as possible in their design process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaboration with customers on new designs, engineering changes, and design improvements.
Change management including drawing/bom release, process routing, sample builds, and PPAP.
Cost analysis and quotation preparation.
Leading teams to diagnose and resolve issues.
Supporting process transitions and improvements.
Identifying and supporting cost reduction initiatives.
Supporting achievement of Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics.
Other duties as may be assigned.

SKILLS:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors or degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering or related field and also 1-3 years job related experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 5-8 years progressive experience required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Experience with Pro/E and sheet metal fabrication is a plus.
- Strong initiative, team problem solving, and excellent communication skills.
- Requires the ability to work in a team environment, clearly communicate technical information with both factory and management personnel.
