ACC Contract Coder

A large NHS organisation and repeat client in the Hampshire area is looking for another contract Clinical Coder to help come in a reduce a small to medium backlog of work.

At present they have a large coding team and due to a number of vacancies are looking to add another contractor to the team.

The successful Clinical coder will be responsible for translating written diagnosis and operations in an acute environment within hospital case notes; the conversion of case notes into Alpha numeric codes using classification standards

You do not have to be ACC qualified to be considered for this role.

Essentials:

- Experience with Clinical Coding in a NHS environment (2+ years)
- Refresher course within the last 3 years
- Knowledge of Coding Systems such as Medicode, Citrix, Compucare, Simplecode or PAS systems
- Either your own Smartcard and coding booked or 2 forms of ID

Desirable:

- Taken you NCCQ exam and gain the ACC accreditation
- Experience within a large NHS Clinical Coding department
