ABAP DEVELOPER - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 5 years of IT Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant SAP experience
- Minimum 1 year of ABAP experience, including:
- ABAP and ABAP objects programming languages
- ABAP based technologies (Dynpros, ALV tables, webdynpros, BSP, workflows, sapscripts, smartforms, Adobe forms, user-exits, enhancements, Switches, BADI, BTE)
- Interfacing technologies and standards (iDocs, XML, BAPIS, batch-inputs)
- ABAP development environment (dictionary, screen painter, programming editor, debugging functions, eCATT testing, LSMW, authorisations objects)
- Demonstrated training of minimum 2 days related to SAP or relevant software development methods in the 2 last years
- Excellent knowledge of ASAP methodology
- Good knowledge of ECC 6 version
- Code deduplication skills
- Good knowledge of software modelling techniques (UML or similar)

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

- Analyse functional specifications and clarify missing and ambiguous information
- Propose and communicate technical software solutions that correspond to the functional specifications, with appropriate quality characteristics (performance, ease of use, maintainability)
- Use SAP technology to its best extent
- Evaluate, compare and recommend solutions, identifying advantages, inconveniences, opportunities and threats, and identifying technical consequences
- Produce the technical design and technical specifications
- Implement and test solutions
- Provide or maintain technical documentation
- Support and assistance on technical software solutions
- Share relevant knowledge with the internal team
- Contribute to the elicitation of needs and requirements, ie build a prototype and participate actively to workshops with stakeholders
- Coordinate with consultants, other developers and other stakeholders for the implementation of the solutions
- Estimate required development effort (workload)
- Propose a software architecture for more complex solutions
