Project context
The role will involve working alongside an existing team of Ab Initio/.NET/BO developers
in the BI and reporting area. There are a number of project/BAU related deliveries in the
BI & reporting area planned for this year where the developer will be involved in the
technical review, implementation and testing support of specific deliverables contributing
to these projects. There is also BAU activity expected by the developer to maintain and
provided bug fixes to existing developments.

Required Experience/Skills
3 to 4 years' experience in developing ETL's and unix, with at least 2 years AB initio/Unix
experience.

- Oracle 9i, Oracle P/L SQL Developer/Toad
- Sybase 15, Sybase SQL Advantage, Sybase IQ 15.3
- Stored procedures
- Cost optimisation
- Competent construction of SQL queries
- Any Datamodelling tools or techniques would be of advantage
- Consideration of performance and reusability during design and creation of interface

table schemas

Act as developer on multiple applications for day to day business, evolutions and
contribute to new projects.

Main Purpose
Validate functional specifications completeness.
Define technical specifications, develop assigned components, perform unit testing.
