A/R Medical Payment Associate

The Medical Payment Associate is responsible for the daily management of accounts receivable for all product lines. This position reconciles cash received from bank on a daily basis, ensures timely and accurate posting to the member accounts. This position ensures all NSF adjustments, debit and credit memo adjustments, and refunds are reflected timely and accurately on the members account. This position will directly contact members and assist in resolving billing and payment issues. This person must update and maintain multiple synchronized databases in an accurate and timely manner.

SKILLS:

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

- High School Graduate with some college (Accounting or Business Administration major) or compatible work experience.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

- AA degree completed and currently completing BS in Accounting or Business Administration

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- The successful candidate will have solid understanding of accounting background, intermediate computer skills, strong customer service and communication skills in English and Spanish. Proficiency working with databases;2 years in an HMO setting in an accounting department; solid understanding of accounting terminology; and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

- 3 - 4 years in an accounting department; QNXT system database and Health kids product experience a plus

FOREIGN LANGUAGES:

- Must be fluent in Spanish
