Job description:
Storage systems:
- Support the Lead SA in defining and documenting complex design based on HP's 3PAR Storage Products.
- Undertake any 3PAR config. upgrade as necessary
- Identify and Undertake any Performance type activities resulting from Customer Performance Issues
Identify and apply the right methods to best ring-fence QoS on Critical application at a consistent level:
-That might be achieved via implementation of physical or logical partitioning (eg by spindles or CPG)
- Ensure that the critical key parameters are known and documented on the Server SAN and V800/V400 and applied.
- Has a broad implementation Experience/knowledge from other customers, preferably a large international org.
Required skills:
Has a detailed knowledge/experience of the 3PAR software and how to best configure it/tailor it for critical applications.
Key is:
-Adaptive Optimisation, Dynamic Optimisation, TVVP etc etc.
-When to use AO and when not to.
-Other operational best practice would be great eg provisioning, reclamation and housekeeping
-Understands the potential impact on performance of changes that we might apply.
-Lun Consolidation
-Some migration experience as well
