Wintel Systems Engineer - Brussels - 3 Month Contract - €400-€425 per day
A large European institution based in Brussels are searching for a Wintel Systems Engineer to join their diverse team based on an initial 3 month contract, with extensions highly likely.
The successful candidate will contribute to the innovation, technical design and development of a large Wintel Server infrastructure mostly. This will include hardware integration, software stack creation and virtualisation within an international scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Wintel Systems Engineer, you will be part of the IaaS team and your duties will include, but won't be limited to:
- Implementing cloud technologies, in particular VMware/VRealize technology
- Service and process design
- Analysing business requests and translating them into a detailed level design related to the bank strategy
- Writing documentation
- Analysing existing infrastructure and proposing innovations
SKILLS
The successful candidate will have strong experience as a Systems Engineer in the Wintel domain, as well as very good working knowledge of the Windows OS (Server 2008 & 2012), Microsoft Cluster and VMware virtualisation. Knowledge of Powershell or JavaScript is beneficial but not mandatory. The working language is English, so a fluency is expected.
