TEST LEAD - DATA CENTRE - PERFROMANCE TESTING

THE KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE

The successful applicant will join a project as part of a scrum team for the virtualised datacentre project. They will be closely involved in the deliverables of that scrum team working to define and implement the necessary tests across Network, API, Compute and Storage layers of the Openstack implementation. They will also lead the full stack test function on the private virtualised infrastructure, mentor and influence the quality function in other teams such as network, platforms and storage and share industry best practice across the departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Create and manage the Virtualised Data Center Test Plan

Create and manage performance test rig
-

To disseminate industry knowledge of approaches to quality and testing across the department.

Mentoring/Coaching of existing engineers and the broader development community.
-

Ability to inspire and shape a high level best practice for testing within the department.
-

Define and implement tests within scrum team, to be an active member of the scrum team.

To communicate and disseminate automation best practice across the department.
-

Help enhance a delivery with high quality; culture that is accountability and results orientated

Work closely with developers and product owners as part of an Agile software delivery team to make sure the Openstack implementation is performant at all times

To drive the full integration of automation tests into a Continuous Delivery framework

REQUIRED SKILLSEXPERIENCE

Experience of virtualisation and cloud technologies like AWS and Openstack
-

Experience Performance Testing AWS and Openstack components
-

Experience Performance Testing Software Defined networking solutions such as Contrail, Nuage or NSX
-

Java programming experience
-

BSc in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrable knowledge
