Technical Writer

An excellent opportunity exists for a Technical Writer to join a large organization for an initial 6 month contract documenting Work Instructions and Operational Readiness Guides. My client is currently working on a large, multi agency program of work and requires someone with the ability to work over multiple projects with in complex environments.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

- Researches, gathers, verifies and documents work instructions, operation manuals, user support documentation
- Manages and documents work instructions, operation manuals, and user support documentation
- Translates process designs, policies and business rules, impact assessments, technical and system reference documents into operational reference guides and work instructions for impacted staff.
- Engages with and manages stakeholders in a complex environment
- Organises and facilitates meetings and workshops between various stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Prepares reports, briefings and options papers that analyses issues identified, assesses options or provides recommendations for management consideration.
- Produces or updates work instructions and related
- Provides administration and first level support for the users of work instructions in the organisation's knowledge management site.
- Maintains good working relationships with key internal/external stakeholders.
- Provides input and support in the planning, prioritising and scheduling of deliverables and work packages

- A high level of organization, with the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities whilst delivering timely, high-quality outputs
- The ability to overcome significant obstacles to achieve successful outcomes
- Agile problem solving skills and techniques, in particular the ability to break down complex issues and assess potential solutions in a methodical manner
- Ability to work unsupervised, whilst still respecting the need for clear accountability and regular reporting to support effective project governance
