Tech Writer must have skills: 5+ years technical writing/business analysis experience required; Experience interviewing technical staff and documenting if/then system requirements; Experience creating new documents from scratch for existing systems; Comfortable writing and understanding psuedo-code; writing sample required at submission

Nice to have skills: Mainframe computer and web services experience

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with product managers, developers, and application configuration analysts to create comprehensive internal reference documentation for an existing and mature Prepaid Processing platform. Key technologies used in the platform include a Mainframe Back End, web services, and browser-based user interface.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years technical writing/business analysis experience (Required)
- Process and Procedure Documentation, 5+ years (Required)
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
- Ability to work independently and manage ones time (Required)
- Knowledge of financial transaction processing (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Web Services (Preferred)
- Microsoft Office and Visio experience (Required)
- Excellent analytical abilities
- Extraordinary attention to detail
- Ability to develop an intuitive understanding of complex technical information
- High levels of ownership and initiative
- Comfortable writing and understanding psuedo-code
- Writing sample required
- Must be able to work from home (majority of time) and at the Highlands Ranch office (minority of time)

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with cross-functional teams to analyze information needs, develop documentation strategy to support those needs, create documentation.
- Adhere to existing documentation standards.
