Technical Writer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a TECHNICAL WRITER to join our client in Carlsbad, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
- Identification of information/procedures that would make relevant FAQs.
- Manage translations via translation agencies of these FAQs.
- Publishing FAQs and translations to public support environment.
- Manage downloads such as software, user guides, manuals, etc.
- Tailoring information into a written format that is technically accurate, grammatically correct, and understandable by end users of all skill sets.
- Documentation and creation of SOPs, policies, processes, etc.
- Migration of existing knowledge documents in various formats and from various sources into the knowledge base.
- Review FAQs on a regular basis to ensure that they and their translated child docs remain timely and relevant.
- Drive continuous improvement of the knowledge base through the use of report analysis and feedback from customers, tech support agents, and other experts within the company.
- Tailoring information into a written format relevant for agents' use.
- Review info on a regular basis to ensure that docs remain timely and relevant.
- Drive continuous improvement of the knowledge system through feedback from call center agents, development engineers, QA engineers, etc.

Job Qualifications:
- BA or BS or working equivalents or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years as a Technical Writer.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting Knowledge Base systems.
- Strong communication capabilities including the ability to effectively work with Technical Support, Product Dev, Support and Manufacturing department leads and personnel.
- Ability to effectively work with executive leaders, team leads, and peers through projects, making sure project deadlines are met.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must work well independently and work in a Matrix based organization.
- Strong MS Office skills including Visio.
- Experience with ITIL/ITSM Knowledge Management practices.
