One of our large Investment Banking Clients Bank of America is looking for an experienced Tax Operations Analyst to work within the Tax operations team

Job Description
To work with tax operations to help ensure that Merrill Lynch International and BANA London are operationally prepared for FATCA and CDOT reporting to the IRS and to HMRC. Working as part of a team of two specifically tasked with the identification of GAPS in existing processes whilst ensuring that system, referential, and processes, are updated to ensure compliance with the new regulations.

This role will require the candidate to keep up to date with the changing regulations as they near finalisation.
To work with the Corporate Tax, the PMO, technology and our client on-boarding teams as we develop new processes.
To identify any gaps in our current process

Role
In light of an ever changing regulatory tax reform, the Tax Operations team is integral in ensuring relevant implementation with the legislative requirements in a thoughtful and methodical manner to not only ensure compliance but operational efficiency.

The role will require the candidate to work within tax operations to help ensure that Merrill Lynch International and BANA London are operationally prepared for FATCA and CDOT reporting to the IRS and to HMRC. Working as part of a team of two specifically tasked with the identification of GAPS in existing processes whilst ensuring that system, referential, and processes, are updated to ensure compliance with the new regulations.

*Understand FATCA and CDOT requirements
*To work with our technology partners to ensure the applications we develop are fit for reporting to the IRS and to HMRC.
*To assist with FATCA/CDOT related documentation queries.
*To help identify any gaps with respect to the firms obligations for chapter 3, 4, and 61 reporting.

Essential
US Tax Reporting
Previous FATCA/CDOT knowledge preferable
Ability to work under pressure and to a deadline
Strong communication skills
Must be well organised, and self-motivated
Strong Microsoft excel and access skills
Proactive and questioning nature
Good Numerical and analytical skills

Desirable
Familiarity with securities operations and workflows (Back Office and Middle Office) along with Knowledge of the supported/related business areas (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Settlements, Reconciliation).
Educated to degree standard preferable
