System Engineer/Data Modeler

SKILLS:

IT experience in Business Intelligence: Analysis, Design, Development and Implementation of Data Warehousing, Client Server Applications, Web based Applications, and API's.

- Strong knowledge in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Full Life Cycle experience including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and documentation for Waterfall and Agile.
- Experienced in documenting requirements, which involve gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements, functional requirements and data specifications for Business Intelligence tools, Dashboards, Reports, Metrics/Trends, KPI's and Data Visualization.
- Knowledge of BO Universe Designing, Web Intelligence and InfoView Administration, creating Ad-hoc reports, Xcelsius, Dashboard Manager and Live Office.
- Experienced in deployment of Business Objects products from various sources like: Oracle, TeraData, MS SQL Server, DB2 and Access.
- Experience with presenting documented requirements and conducting reviews and the ability to perform training sessions. Graphic design and polished PowerPoint presentation skills a plus.
- Expertise in analysing, architecting, designing and modelling data warehouses, data marts Star Schema, Snowflake, FACT and Dimensions tables, slowly changing dimensions (SCDs) using ERWIN. Development experiences a plus.
- Experience with TOAD, complex SQL queries, UNIX Shell Scripting and Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge on Data Migration applications: such as Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) of data from multiple sources into Data Warehouse.
- Understanding of RDBMS concepts and experience using database: Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers ODBC, SQL, Trans SQL, PL/SQL, etc.
- Must be an excellent Team Player with ability to perform independently, have exceptional communication, analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills.
