Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description:

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be primarily responsible for recognizing and creating opportunities in the supply chain which will enable cost savings. The SQE will be the liaison between Quality Engineering, Product Development, Purchasing, Quality Control, Marketing, and Suppliers. Responsible for complaint investigations, CAPAs, and communications with supply chain. Lead and support continuous improvement processes through communication and interaction with internal audit processes within the company.

Desired Skills & Experience:

* Knowledge of Medical device regulations (FDA, ISO, etc.)
* Process validations (IQ, PQ, OQ)
* Risk analysis techniques utilizing FMEA
* Interpretation of engineering specifications (ASME y14.5)
* Metrology tools and inspection techniques
* Statistical techniques and methods
* Ability to effectively communicate through oral and written presentations
* Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and assignments
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance
* Ability to analyze complex supplier issues and provide practical solutions
* Ability to analyze supplier processes such as machining, thermal processing, cleaning, etc.
* Ability to travel up to 25%

* Bachelors Degree (REQUIRED), preferably in Science or Engineering
* 4+ years experience required in medical devices or a related field
* Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), etc. highly desirable

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
