A large Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Stress and Volume Tester to join their friendly IT team in Canberra for an initial 4 month contract with the view to extend up to 6 months.

You will have the responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

- Manage multiple competing priorities for S&V
- Assist in the analysis of any performance issues
- Perform analysis of non-functional requirements and determine the level of Stress and Volume testing required, prepare the data, environment and scripts and collate results for multiple complex projects
- Management of the dedicated S&V environments
- Provide estimates and develop S
- Specialization in Stress and Volume Testing, including systems built on Web/HTTP, Socket/ODBC, AJAX-based web portals, MQ, Webmethods and Mainframe backends
- Experience in the execution of performance tests under various load profiles, as well as the analysis of transaction response times, server and network metrics to diagnose performance bottlenecks
- Ability to construct complex SQL
- Excellent Analytical Skills
- Demonstrated communication and negotiating skills
