Stock & Fixed Assets Accountant

An international retail business require an interim financial accountant to come in and support for a period of 6 months primarily on their stock and fixed assets.

The key duties include producing weekly and monthly reporting on the companies' stock holding for distribution to the Heads of Supply Chain and Finance, work alongside the supply chain analyst to review the companies' current stock processes to ensure greater transparency of reporting in the areas of stock movement, freight cost, and duty cost. You will lead detailed investigation and analysis throughout all stock related expenditure including stock movement analysis, freight and duty analysis to support business decision making and reduce spend.

Report, investigate and support the business to reduce stock losses and discrepancies, day to day responsibility for the identification, allocation and entry of fixed assets onto the fixed asset ledger, reconciliations between general ledger and fixed assets register, monthly reporting for the management accounts, track ongoing CAPEX, day to day responsibility for cost centre reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.

You will also have year-end, month end duties including being the key contact for all stock and fixed assets queries.

You must be a qualified accountant with experiencing of working in a retail business or auditing a retail business where you had exposure to stock.
