My large Steel Stockholder Client currently has a requirement for a Stock / Operations Accountant on a contract basis. Rates are flexible and dependant upon experience. Your key responsibilities will be: - Booking stock to the stock system and reconciling it to purchase invoice - Handling import documents (Letter of Credits and other documentary credits), ensuring stock is timely and correctly booked into the system - Handling occasional export (issuing invoices, packing lists and other supporting documentation) - Arranging and leading Stock takes in several warehouses in UK - Provide detailed analysis involving large volumes of data ensuring stock integrity across the business - Prepare month end stock reconciliations within the stock and accounting system - Reviewing and reporting on margin data using the stock system - Developing profitability reports for products and stores - Supervise 1 member of warehouse admin staff, business partnering with warehouse manager, sales managers, logistics manager and other key members of staff - Producing dispatch reports and stock reports as per requests of company director You will have: - Experience of performing reconciliations for stock and financial accounts, handling large volumes of data - Previous experience of cross border shipments, terms of trade is key - Strong analytical skills - Accountancy experience, with a particular emphasis on financial and stock reconciliations - Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate and challenge at a high level and with non-finance staff is essential for this role - Advanced skills in MS Excel are essential (eg manipulating data, data sorts and pivot tables,lookups) - High attention to detail with the ability to meet pressured deadlines - An ability to demonstrate process improvements and efficiencies within previous roles I hope that this is of interest - please respond with your CV in the first instance should you wish to discuss this opportunity at greater length.
