Stochastic Modeller

Hyphen have an excellent opportunity for a Stochastic Modeller to work for a large Insurance client of ours based in York on a 3 month contract.

Job Purpose:
The resource will be used to backfill stochastic modelling team activities related to UK with-profit fund run-off developments. There are statutory requirements and Board level requests that require us to undertake work associated with the run-off of these funds - which need to balance policyholders and shareholder interests.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- The nature of the work involves specialist Prophet libraries and associated applications
- You will have familiarity with these applications
- You will be involved in activities relating to the development of advanced financial reporting capability, in respect of Old & New With Profit Sub-Funds together and/or Provident Mutual Sub-Fund, to support with-profit run-off proposals
- Advanced Coding experience
