Software Engineer - VB6 (5720)

For a project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

SOFTWARE ENGINEER - VB6 (5720)

You'll be working in the team "Application Management non-core" where you will manage and develop software across all business divisions. You will work closely with two other VB6 developers.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF VISUAL BASIC 6 SOFTWARE, PREFERABLY WITHIN FINANCIAL INDUSTRY
- IN-DEPTH EXPERIENCE IN THE LIFE CYCLE OF SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT (SDLC)
- Experienced in test units as well as integration of components into larger subsystems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
- FLUENT IN ENGLISH AND GOOD IN GERMAN

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop software components in Visual Basic 6 as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- Test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
- Support the Software Component Manager in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
- Make sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before handover to the Software Component Manager
- Manage versions of software artifacts
