Software Development Manager - Cardiff - £55,000

I am currently looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a team of Software engineers and manage some new and existing projects.

The role:

As Software Development Manager you will manage a team in the development of embedded software for the clients industry leading products. Your team members are based in Cardiff and also in an office in Europe.

In addition you will be responsible for conducting, leading and coordinating software development activities with your team, including key design decisions for the technology, structure, configuration & QA testing of the systems under development

All candidates must be degree educated and have experience with the following:

- Management experience
- Project Experience
- C/C++/Embedded systems

Desirable:

- Microcontroller experience.
- Ability to use scripting languages (such as Python, Ruby, Perl) for testing and during the build process.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS and Javascript for Web 2.0 (Ajax) based user interface.

To meet the demands for this challenging role you will need to have commercial software Development experience from a hands on management position.
