Senior Media Relations Manager

My client who are a leading name in their sector are currently looking for a Senior Media Relations Manager to join them.

The role:
Aligned to an exciting vision to transform our business and delivering on our growth agenda, you will be a senior individual contributor - reporting into the Corporate Affairs Executive, and will be our primary contact for managing relationships with the media

As well as engaging external audiences to ensure delivery of our key business messages, you will strengthen bonds with key external audiences (including journalists, policy makers and elected officials) to build our long-term reputation on a local and national level - this will include spending time in London and other locations as required, although the primary location will be Chester and this is where you will spend the majority of your time

Of graduate calibre, and a strong story-teller, you will have a communications, media and/or public affairs background gained in a fast paced environment. You will need to have a deep understanding of Legacy and emerging communications channels and be up-to-date on the latest communications/media developments as you'll work with our brand and social teams to develop and deliver our key external messages

As well as having the ability to build effective networks internally and externally, you will need to be passionate and be able to work with pace as well as being comfortable working in a matrixed environment. It is also essential that you are an outstanding communicator who is emotionally intelligent
