Our client is a leading RSL who are looking to recruit a Senior Data Governance Manager for an initial 6 months fixed term contract.

Our client is embarking on a large strategic project to improve the availability and quality of business information used in decision making, to strengthen their data governance and ensure that best practise in information management is deployed through-out the organisation. This will entail a complete review and overhaul of their business processes to capture, store and share data. This is an exciting project with executive level sponsorship.

Our client currently has a vacancy for a dynamic and hands-on Senior Data Governance Manager that will be at the forefront of shaping the data strategy and working practices that will become embedded through-out the organisation. The individual will need to have the credibility to comfortably work at board, director and management level to gain consensus for news ways of working that focus on protecting data assets.

Working closely with the IS & Change Department, you will also be responsible for leading an organisation-wide data quality initiative that is the pre-cursor to a significant IS integration project. You will draw on your experience of master data management to assess business processes and create a data model ensuring that accurate and timely management information can be generated and maintained.

Communication skills will be a key requirement as you will need to change the culture of the organisation into understanding more about the importance of data and the need to embed validation and control mechanisms in everything the RSL does.

In order to be considered for this post the successful candidate will need to be a self-starter with practical, in-depth knowledge of Information Management practices and relevant legislation such as The Data Protection Act, PCI DSS and ISO 27001. You will also be able to think strategically in creating the policies and long term vision as well as have the practical abilities necessary to create and lead short-term action plans.

This is a hands-on role that will require a solid background of creating and overseeing pragmatic data policies and the credibility and communication skills to influence and drive through significant change at all levels of the organisation.

The salary for the post will be up to £45k pro rata for the 6 months fixed term contract.

You will be required to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
